Living in Venasque, France
June 14th, 2009 by Aleksandar

After the race in Switzerland I packed my stuff with fellow danish triahtlon bum Jimmy Johnsen to head to France.
We are staying in Provence just north of Avignon in a very small village called Venasque.
I was here first time last year and it has since then been in my top 5 places to grow old.
Beautiful nature, an awesome bakery with great cakes and a good high speed connection.

Jimmy was in the danish military.
I think that the only useful thing he got out of that time was his ability to pack very big things into small places

Venasque is very small and the streets is a big challenge to train for in, but i have managed to get some solid speed work in on the bike. However I think I am not too popular when I do it.

Behind the mist is Mount Ventox. It’s a massive climb and not just any massive climb. It’s the climb where Tom Simpson died and where other legends have been born and died.
I can’t wait to push my limits on the climb again.
